Guascor Mechanically Carbureted Engines
The GGE-Guascor lean burn, mechanically carbureted, FGLD engine series ranges from 260 to 800 kWb (349 to 1073 HP). These gas engines have been designed to operate with high flexibility and tolerance with working conditions.
This engine series is commonly used in cogeneration facilities with natural gas at high temperatures in cooling circuits and with biogas in various applications where electrical efficiency, easy operation and service, and high flexibility of operation are required.

- Suspended crankshaft
- Diagonally split connecting rods
- Bimetallic bearings for connecting rods and crankshaft
- Aluminum alloy pistons with three rings and reduced lube oil consumption
- Cast individual cylinder heads, with four valves extra lubricated to avoid corrosion problems with high sulphur gases
- Electric or pneumatic starter
- High cooling temperature options (120°C in main circuit and 80°C in auxiliary circuit) for special cogeneration requirements
- High performance turbocharger
- Electronically controlled ignition system
